Whether providing a small office or a manufacturing facility, MMCDC has helped businesses and communities create new jobs and foster additional development through improved facilities. Working with city staff and business owners, we occasionally construct buildings in industrial parks, revitalize main street offices, and build business incubators.
We manage several commercial spaces. A portion are stand-alone buildings developed for and leased by a single owner; others are available for rent to the public.
One of the most challenging, but also the most rewarding, of these projects was the redevelopment of The Graystone Hotel in Detroit Lakes. Eventually, buildings on the adjacent Holmes Block were redeveloped as well. All are now on the National Register of Historic Places.
